NEET 2024 Syllabus Topics Removed and Replaced

According to the most recent NCERT revised curriculum, certain topics have been eliminated and others have been added. For some time, the NEET syllabus has remained constant. However, the exam pattern has shifted dramatically during the previous two years. This year, the NMC changed the syllabus to reflect the most recent NCERT curriculum.


The topics (tentative) that will be eliminated and added to the current NEET syllabus in 2024 are listed below. The complete curriculum, however, will be provided by NTA together with the information bulletin in December 2023.

Reproduction Reproduction in organisms: Reproduction, a characteristic feature of all organisms for continuation of species; Modes of reproduction – Asexual and sexual; Asexual reproduction; Modes-Binary fission, sporulation, budding, gemmule, fragmentation; vegetative propagation in plants.
Biology and Human Welfare Improvement in food production; Plant breeding, tissue culture, single cell protein, Biofortification; Apiculture and Animal husbandry.
Ecology and Environment Organisms and environment: Habitat and niche; Population and ecological adaptations. Ecosystem Patterns: Nutrient cycling (carbon and phosphorous); Ecological succession; Ecological Services fixation, pollination, oxygen release.
